Specifying a fire rated pocket door kit

Fire-rated pocket door kits offer a sophisticated solution for integrating space-saving sliding doors while adhering to crucial building safety regulations. Envo Slide provides an FD30 solution that leverages the same sturdy profiles, minimal top track, and unique access pocket as our non-fire-rated option, making it suitable for both residential and hospitality settings.

Why choose a fire-rated sliding door?

UK building regulations stipulate the need for fire-rated doors to be installed if:

  • A property has 3 or more floors (including loft conversions): any habitable room accessed from a stairwell must have a fire door.
  • A property has an integral garage: any door connecting a habitable part of the house to an integral garage must be fire-rated.
  • A building is mixed-use: if a residential property is joined to a commercial space, the dividing door must be fire-rated.

With these regulations in place, the demand for fire-rated doors across high-end residential projects in London and beyond is high. Envo has developed a pocket door product that meets fire safety regulations whilst aligning with our client’s contemporary aesthetic and need to maximize precious square footage. Our single pocket kit is certified for 30 minutes.
